With the IT skills shortage still topping the technology agenda in the UK, Firesand today announced that we have invested in an initiative to attract more young recruits into careers in technology and security.

The first beneficiary of the scheme is 19 year old Hannah, who we have taken on as an apprentice as part of her Open University Professional Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions, which we are also funding.

Firesand’s Director and Founder, Matthew Holloway, said “We’re very proud to be taking this first step into alternative education and training to help more entrants into this vital industry. As a successful security business built by a team with different educational backgrounds and skillsets, we know that there’s more than one route to expertise, and that diversity breeds originality.”
