Cyber Essentials Plus: the latest in Firesand’s growing list of accreditations

Hard on the heels of recent news announcing Firesand’s Cyber Essentials accreditation and ISO 27001 certification, we’re delighted to now confirm that we have also achieved Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation – the upper level of the Government’s recommended cyber security standard.

Cyber Essentials Plus differs from Cyber Essentials in that it involves in-house inspection (entailing, amongst other procedures, penetration testing) by an accredited Certifying Body. It therefore demonstrates rigorous application of the recommended security standards, and is also a required accreditation for those – like Firesand – wishing to become Certifying Bodies themselves.

Firesand founder and Chief Operations Officer Matthew Holloway, said: “This is the latest in a series of accreditations and certifications that demonstrate our commitment to continually developing our expertise and showcasing it in ways that our customers and prospects know, understand and trust.”

“We wholeheartedly support the Government’s aspirations to make the Cyber Essentials standards widespread, and in attaining Cyber Essentials Plus we are one step further to becoming a Certifying Body, which will enable us to play a still more significant part in that roll-out.”
